We tested it with Alexa and Google Assistant, and it worked without a hitch. If this were my yard, I’d install it and not think about it again, except maybe to admire my lower water bill.

Just a few things to know before you buy. The Rachio 3 needs Wi-Fi for all the smart stuff, like weather skips and using the app remotely. Your basic schedule will still run if the internet goes down, though, which is good. There aren't many buttons on the device itself—you really run everything from the app, so keep your phone handy.
