Excellent
Look, if you want that amazing, hair-smoothing glide of a real silk pillowcase but don't want to drop $80 or even $100, Quince is where you should be looking. It really hits that sweet spot. This is the real deal: 100% mulberry silk. We're talking 22-momme, Grade 6A stuff—and it’s OEKO-TEX certified, too, which just means it's been tested to be free from a list of not-so-great substances. When you hold it, it feels substantial, you know? Not flimsy at all. Honestly, compared to the big names like Slip or Blissy, you're getting the same core benefits for about half the price. But here's the thing: it's still silk. You do have to be a bit more gentle with it than a regular cotton case, and yeah, it can snag if you're not careful.
We used this thing for weeks, swapping it out with our usual cotton cases. And you know what? It definitely helped cut down on morning frizz and those sleep creases on your face. That lower friction meant fewer pillow lines, for sure. It's not going to replace your skincare routine, obviously, but it does seem to help your moisturizer stay on your face instead of the pillow. The fit was perfect on both Standard and King pillows, with no bunching. It’s also quiet—no weird, papery rustling sounds. We ran it through the wash multiple times on delicate (in a mesh bag!) and let it air dry, and the stitching and shine held up beautifully. A word of caution: if you toss it in the dryer, it can get a little dull and creased. So, definitely stick to air drying.
So, who is this for? I'd say if you're looking for real mulberry silk without the crazy price tag and don't mind following some simple care rules, you're going to love this. It’s not for everyone, though. If you're a really hot sleeper who needs special performance fabrics, or if your cat likes to make biscuits on your pillow—yep, it will snag—you might want to pass. Same goes if you just want to throw everything in the dryer. Look, it doesn't come in a super fancy box or a million colors like the expensive brands, but the actual experience? The silky glide, the shine, the way it's gentle on your hair... it's shockingly close for the price. For most of us, this 22-momme weight is the perfect sweet spot.
