We definitely noticed the classic silk benefits, like less frizz and fewer of those morning sleep-crease marks. But let's be real, it's a pillowcase, not a magic wand—it helps, but it won't cure all your hair woes. And washing it? Believe it or not, it's easier than you'd think. But you should probably skip it if you're a really hot sleeper. Crisp cotton or linen will feel cooler, no question. Same goes if you're specifically hunting for that super-heavy, drapey feel of a 25- or 30-momme silk.

Just a couple more things to keep in mind. Silk is breathable, sure, but it's not a moisture-wicking powerhouse like cotton, so you might feel a bit warmer on humid nights.
