What we really liked... and a couple things to keep in mind.

Its biggest selling point is that it's truly car seat safe. The whole thing just fits over the top with an elastic edge, so nothing ever gets in the way of the harness. The shell feels tough enough for cold walks from the car to the house, and the inside is seriously cozy. Getting it on and off is quick, and that center zipper is a lifesaver for pacifier rescues. We tried it on a bunch of different infant seats—Chicco, Nuna, UPPAbaby, Graco—and the one-size-fits-all claim actually held up. Now, a couple things to be aware of. Because it's so warm, you'll definitely want to unzip it once you're indoors or after the car heats up. And if you're dealing with sub-zero temperatures for a long time outside, you might want to look at one of 7AM's even heavier-duty models. Just remember to never, ever put a puffy coat under the harness.

So, who is this *not* for? Honestly, if you live somewhere with mild winters or you're mostly just going from a warm garage to a warm car, this might be overkill. A simple blanket you take off before buckling them in could be all you need. As for other options we like, the JJ Cole cover is a solid choice if you're on a tighter budget, and the Skip Hop Stroll & Go is great for those not-so-cold climates. If you like the idea of a wrap-style cover, 7AM's own Nido is worth a look—just always remember the golden rule: nothing bulky goes behind the baby's back or underneath those harness straps.
